Buddha-limitation[1]

A few months ago I wrote an article on the Third Chakra which is our energetic center of personal power.  You can find this article on KellyWhetstone.com if you would like to read it. Personal power has been the subject of a couple of my shows on 12Radio.  It is a big subject and I wanted to share some information that expands on the original article.

PERSONAL POWER is our will, our fire, our self expression.  Through personal power and the third chakra we manifest our lives as Divine Beings in physical bodies on this earth plane.  We also manifest our desires through our personal power and will.  What begins as thought and imagination is brought into reality through our will.  As I have said before will and faith look an awful lot alike to me.

I want to focus on the Self Expression aspect of Personal Power;

The purpose of every human being is to demonstrate God or Source or what ever word works for you, to reveal the face of the Divine that is within every human being. I always felt that we demonstrate Source by expressing its attributes. By connecting to and expressing our Higher Self and by seeing and loving the highest and best in ourselves and everyone, by being generous, showing compassion and living in integrity. I certainly believe that is true but it isn’t the whole story.

We are the embodiment of source energy, everything that God is we are, everything that God has we have.  That is huge!  It encompasses perfect health, creative expression, abundance and prosperity, right relations, joy and total fulfillment.

By releasing energy that interferes with our self expression we are more able to demonstrate our powerful Source.  So isn’t our personal power our divine power?  It is our Self expression and God is the Self of man.  Therefore, the beliefs, fears, habits, addictions, unworthiness that impede our self expression are impeding our demonstration of Source.

Everything has an energetic beginning or cause.  A belief is an energetic cause and outward behavior is always confirming and affirming belief. So let’s look at one common behavior as it relates to Self Expression; Procrastination.

Procrastination is a real block to personal power when it is a habitual way of life.  Procrastination is an outer symptom of a deeper rooted belief.

I love what Louise Hay says about procrastination in her book; You Can Heal Your Life.

“If one of my belief systems or thought patterns is “I am unworthy”, then one of my outer effects will probably be procrastination.  After all, procrastination is one way to keep us from getting where we say we want to go.  Most people who procrastinate will spend a lot of time and energy berating themselves for procrastinating.  They will call themselves lazy and generally will make themselves out to feel they are “bad persons”.”

They get caught up in the spin of self criticism and self judgment which further validates their unworthiness which keeps widening the gap between where they are and where they want to be.  In my opinion, there is no greater block to self expression than a belief in unworthiness.

If we are the embodiment of the Divine, and we are, how can we be unworthy?  It is impossible! We are worthy because we EXIST.  I think it was Michael Tamura that said the thought of unworthiness doesn’t even exist in the mind of God because everything is God. That is the truth but that may not automatically dispel your belief in your unworthiness.  But by knowing the cause of the behavior you feel victimized by you are automatically empowered to begin to change your belief.  It is totally up to you.

Louise Hay says REPEATED PATTERNS SHOW US OUR NEEDS. “For every habit we have, for every experience we go through over and over, for every pattern we repeat there is a NEED WITHIN US for it.  The need corresponds to some belief we have.  If there were not a need we wouldn’t have it, do it or be it.  There is something within us that needs the fat, the poor relationships, the failures, the cigarettes, the anger, the poverty, the abuse, or whatever there is that’s a problem for us.”

We must be willing to release the need.  The willingness to let go of the old is the key.

She continues with

“When I say “needing the problem”, I mean that according to our particular set of thought patterns, we “need” to have certain outer effects or experiences.  Every outer effect is the natural expression of an inner thought pattern”

I just want to add, that we “need the problem” to PROVE the belief.  In other words, the procrastination is proof to ourselves of our unworthiness.  Think about that.

Louise Hay offers this affirmation:

“I am willing to release the need to be unworthy.  I am worthy of the very best in life, and I now lovingly allow myself to accept it.  As I spend a few days doing this affirmation over and over, my outer effect pattern of procrastination will automatically begin to fade.  As I internally create a pattern of self worth, then I no longer have the need to delay my good”

“I am willing to release the pattern within me that is creating this condition”.

You can take your power back from a condition or habit by releasing the old idea or belief.  It takes persistence to change your thought and belief but to help you with that refer to the truth of who you are, “ALL THAT GOD IS, I AM, ALL THAT GOD HAS I HAVE”.

I can help you identify the belief.
